Bulbbul — A Sacrifice Of A Woman

Tribute to the sacrifices made to improve woman’s situation in society.

Bulbul starts with an innocent childhood of 5 years old girl dressed in traditional attire and quite unaware of the situation ahead of her. She is jumping trees around and playing with mud. A boy maybe eight years old, come to see her and she believed to married him.

The marriage ceremony begins with joy and happiness, and the doll-like looking bride starts her journey with new people while she is sleeping. She still believed to married a boy she met first. He starts telling her a horror story of a witch to make her comfortable.

In her first night, She saw a mad man, aged around 30 and above, comes to her. But as long as she could figure out, another man walks in, of same age and face, and request his brother’s wife to take him. Bulbul asks him,” where is my husband.” She comes to know that the older man is her husband.

The drama starts getting unfold for the girl child. Why should you watch this drama? The sacrifices of many more woman in ancient time have brought us freedom and change in society. I am glad that now the woman has the right and privilege to think about what they believe is right. They can come in the open and retaliate. They can be a man of her life.

How common is that a girl child upbringing is happening in-law’s house, and violence is part of daily life. How does She decide to fight it over? It is undoubtedly worth watching and feeling great full.
